Welcome to PSECU! We’re the largest credit union in PA and you’re eligible to join by working at Achieva! It’s free to join PSECU and we hope you consider us for your financial needs! • Who is PSECU? We are the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union. We’re headquartered in Harrisburg and are the largest credit union in PA with over 590,000 members & 8 billion in assets. • I’m able to join through my job? Yes. In addition to working with state employees, we also partner with companies who aren’t affiliated with government. Achieva partnered with PSECU in 2024, making you eligible to join and take advantage of the services we offer! • What is a credit union? We’re a member-owned, not-for-profit, financial institution. We’re like a different kind of bank offering similar services like checking & savings, auto loans, mortgages, etc. • What’s the advantage of a credit union? We don’t need to make profits for shareholders like the banks. Instead, our members are our priority, and our goal is to offer them affordable products & services. Generally, credit unions have lower rates on loans, less fees and focus more on the financial well-being of their members. • Where is PSECU located? PSECU is primarily online. We only have three physical branches located in central Pennsylvania. As a result, most of our members bank with us online. Having limited branches significantly reduces our overhead costs, allowing us to offer low rates, minimal fees, cash-back products and reimbursing members on ATM fees. • I don’t prefer doing everything online though. We recognize that an online credit union may not suit everyone. If you prefer in-person banking, consider using PSECU as an additional option. You can join to open a separate savings account for a Rainy Day Fund or take advantage of our loan offerings. Some members do all their banking with us, while others join for specific products. • How do I get money if you don’t have banks? You can get cash at ATMs, transfer money online and deposit checks using our mobile app. • How do I get loans? You would apply online at psecu.com or over the phone with our Loans Dept. at 800- 237-7328, ext. 3846. • Does it cost anything to join? No, it’s free to join and you just need to keep a minimum balance of $5.00 in your savings account. • Questions?
